Tim Withano

Tim is a Finnish-born, Australian singer/songwriter and guitarist. His actual name is Timo and as long as he can remember he has had to tell everyone he meets that his name is Tim with an "o". When it came to launching his solo project (he has played in bands for years) he decided that Tim Withano would be an appropriate stage name :). Tim is an award winning artist and has had Top 10 success on the country charts in Australia with his band, Strum. However, his solo music covers a more eclectic palette with folk-pop, folk-rock and Americana. Most songs still have a strong element of country which he loves.

Tim is also a renowned luthier with many well-known guitarists playing his instruments. Needless to say, Tim built the guitars that he used during the recording of all his songs including his latest single, Bondi Sand.

Over the past few years, he has played the main role in a theatre production which featured the music of James Taylor and Carole King. However, it his love of original music that really drives him.
